Taking the Leap and Living the Dream

I'm writing this blog from my back porch overlooking a lush green rolling cornfield. I can hear the birds chirping, (in the interest of full disclosure, I can also hear the construction workers down the street talking some serious trash, but I am choosing to tune that out), and the sun is out. The kiddo is back in school and it's 8:45 in the morning. Hot coffee is by my side and my dog is laying at my feet. 

This is the first week that I am living my dream. I mean really living it.

A Dream Realized

Two years ago, I created a vision board and taped a picture of Costa Rica right in the middle of it.

I had a dream of leading a retreat in Costa Rica. Why this location? I have no idea, it just seemed exotic and beautiful. I wanted to lead a group of yogis on a dream vacation that included yoga, meditation, insight and action but I had no idea how to do it.

Drama at the Grocery Store....again..

I'm not proud to say that I have a really bad habit of getting into altercations in grocery stores. I have no idea why this happens. Once it was when I witnessed a mother close fist hit her 9-month-old child in the dairy aisle. (totally justified right?  the police thought so...)

And then there was the time where I took my tire iron to the back window of a truck (in the parking lot of a grocery store, does that still count?) when a ridiculously drunk man left his 3 dogs in the car with no windows open in 105 degree weather. (I called the police myself for that one...)

Needless to say, my family doesn't let me go shopping very often.
