Closing the year with grace
If I had to sum up this past year, it would be that life is beyond amazing. I'm not being all pollyanna, really, I am truly amazed at what is possible. The past year held some extreme highs, and some devastating lows, and a whole lot of deliciousness in the middle. I can safely say that I learned more this past year about who I am and who I am not than any other year in my life.
This year I stretched myself more than ever, and I took some serious risks. Some of those risks paid off in spades (hello! Huffington Post!) and others fell flat (ombre hair, yeah, not for me!) I stepped outside my comfort zone and fell down a lot, but I also reached new places in my life.
As I sit here today on the last day of 2013, I feel profound gratitude for my life, my true friends, my loving family, my soul mates, my extreme privilege to be a teacher and student of yoga. I am proud of the lessons I have learned and feel ready to flow into the next year with purpose and love.
In 2014 I am going to stand on my head a lot. I am going to laugh hard and cry hard too. I am going to be fully present with those i love, and in my own life. I am going to drink a lot of green juice and overdo it on kale. I am going to open to being the most me I can be, and kick fear's ass in the process.
I tear up in this very moment with thanks for those who stuck with me through the hard times, and who believed in me. I believe in you, and I will continue to show up for you.
Let's grab this year by the horns and create the life we are meant to live each and every day.
Thank you 2013 for all you gave me.
